The first time I met Wavy we talked at length about his former manager, Lenny Bruce. He had no idea I am a huge fan of Lenny and know much of his material by heart, even after all these years. A while later Deborah joined us, and he immediately started talking about gourmet food, one of her favorite subjects. This guy is dialed in.
I did this piece for a charity auction benefiting Camp Winnarainbow he and his wife Jahanara established long ago. She commented that she liked the piece to someone who bought it and gave it to her. Just great folks to be around.
