Enzo Ferrari
Charcoal on Toned Paper
16"x22"

I paint, I draw. Most of my paintings are the result of many sketches where I can work out problems or issues. Sometimes I just draw because I like to draw. This charcoal drawing is based on a Griff Borgeson photo of Enzo Ferrari. I loved the image and sat down with some charcoal and did this in one long sitting.
When I did the "Ferrari at 50" exhibit at the Petersen Museum in 1997, Jim Hatch (the Art Director) did a huge enlargement and Leslie Kendall took my picture in front of it with Director Ken Gross and Enzo's son Piero.
