Silent Majority
Silent Majority
24"x36"

This is Doris and Milo Smith, parents of my great buddy, Saylor Smith. They were delightful folks, I really enjoyed spending time with them and felt like this painting did them justice.
Looking back at paintings done long ago I'm often amused to find little subtleties. I really like the texture in her sweater.
The "Peace" sign went through many iterations. It started off as "Black Power", then other absurd variations. Saylor thought this best fit their personalities.
