Leo Fender went to Fullerton College as an accounting major. But that wasn't why we know him. He loved electronics and repaired radios when he was 14.
To do this painting I got to go through images at the Fender Museum in Corona. I like strong shadows found in outdoor lighting.
Although we never met, I did get to spend time with his second wife, Phyllis, during present the presentation of the painting.
