Cruz Reynoso was the first Chicano Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court and an alumni of Fullerton College. He was born in Brea (me too) and I asked him if he was part of the Reynoso family I knew but he didn't seem too excited to talk about that period of his life.
Regardless, he had quite a career and this painting hangs in the new Cruz Reynoso building on the Fullerton College Campus.
