PORTRAITS
Gerald Roush got his degree as a historian, an honest to god historian. So many people in the automotive world claim the title but few have earned it. Gerald and Randy Ema are the only two I know to be legit. I'm sure there are others, but not as many as claimed.
I set this painting in his office as publisher of the Ferrari Market Letter, with a few liberties taken. I enjoyed playing with and including a few things like his favorite typewriter and the copy of Sports Car Illustrated that got him hooked on Ferrari in the first place in the 50s and some personal details.
I did sketches from a video interview I did of him back in the 90s and painted using those drawings as reference.
